Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 10, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Hexly browser extension and website ("Hexly", the "Service"), operated by Kevin Kwok, an individual based in Indonesia ("we", "us"). By installing or using Hexly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Hexly is a browser extension that extracts design information — colors, typography, CSS, and downloadable assets such as images and SVGs — from web pages you inspect, for use by designers and developers. Hexly also provides pseudo-state inspection, a color picker, a font picker, and a History feature that stores text artifacts you have copied.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use Hexly. Some features and higher usage limits require an account. Accounts are created using Google Sign-In, available both in the Hexly extension and on the Hexly website, and the same account is used across both. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account you use and for all activity under your Hexly account. You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter into these Terms.
3. Tiers and usage limits
Hexly offers three tiers: Guest, Free, and Pro. Every feature is available on every tier. Tiers differ only in usage volume:
- Guest: use without an account, subject to a limited lifetime number of runs.
- Free: with an account, subject to a daily run limit that resets each day.
- Pro: a paid subscription that removes the daily run limit.
A "run" means one Hexly panel session on a page. Copying and extracting within a single run is unlimited. History retention also varies by tier (guests have none; free retains a small number of recent items; Pro retains more), as described in the extension.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and payment
To purchase Hexly Pro, you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher). Hexly Pro is a paid subscription offered on a monthly or annual basis at the prices shown at purchase. All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle") as Merchant of Record. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You authorize Paddle to charge your payment method on each renewal. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals, and Pro access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Prices may change, with any change applying to future billing periods.
5. Refunds
Hexly Pro is sold on a no-refund basis, except where Paddle independently determines a refund is warranted under its own terms or applicable law. Full details are in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use Hexly lawfully and only for its intended purpose. You agree not to: use Hexly to infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of any person; violate any website's terms of service or applicable law; attempt to gain unauthorized access to, disrupt, or overload the Service or its backend; reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except where permitted by law; resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service itself; use automated means to circumvent tier or usage limits; or use Hexly to build a competing product by copying its functionality. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.
7. Your content and responsibility for extracted material
Hexly is a tool that surfaces design information already present on pages you choose to inspect. Extracted content — including images, SVGs, fonts, colors, and code — may be protected by copyright, trademark, or other rights owned by third parties. Hexly does not grant you any rights in that content. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use, copy, download, or reproduce anything you extract with Hexly, and for how you use it. We make no representation that any extracted content is free to use.
8. Intellectual property
Hexly, including its extension, website, and branding, is owned by Kevin Kwok. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
9. Third-party services
Hexly relies on Google (authentication), Supabase (data storage and analytics), Cloudflare (hosting), and Paddle (payments). Your use of those services through Hexly is also subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their acts or omissions.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kevin Kwok from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with your use of Hexly, your use of any content you extract with it, or your breach of these Terms. This section survives termination.
11. Disclaimers
Hexly is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or accurate, or that it will remain compatible with any browser or website, as browser APIs and third-party sites may change without notice.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kevin Kwok will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Hexly. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for Hexly in the twelve months preceding the claim.
13. Termination
You may stop using Hexly at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. On termination your license to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, responsibility for extracted material, indemnification, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be subject to the courts having jurisdiction in Indonesia, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence grants you additional rights.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes are indicated by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
